So much has happened in the last few months. Unfortunately, not all of it has been good. So, I hope you’ll have some time to surf through as I update my blog with lots of pictures and stories.
In July, I travelled to the US to visit my family. My mother and I took a 2-day road trip to Atlantic City to meet a couple of my friends from Beijing, and then continued on to Connecticut to visit my grandmother. Since my grandfather died in February, Grandma’s health had been declining. We had a very nice week there, just us girls. I put my mom on the train to go home, feeling like we’d had our best visit ever.
A month later, to everyone’s shock and surprise, my mother died, on August 23. In early October, my grandmother also died. I guess they are all together now, my mother and her parents.
Obviously, it was a very difficult and busy few months. I travelled back to the US in August, again in October, for the holidays in December, and then for a job fair in February. I did not take a job, but have decided to leave here in June. I will head to the US for a while, put a few pieces of my puzzle together.
